The Aim of Tourism and Hotel Management

The aim of Department of Tourism and Hotel Management is to educate students as entrepeneurs and management candidates regarding to  strategic and managerial decision-making, especially in the tourism sector to meet the needs of the business world.

The Department of Tourism and Hotel Management in Faculty of Commerce and Tourism Education of Nevsehir University was transferred to Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in 2008. The languages of education of the department are Turkish and English.

Academic staffs at the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management are nationally and internationally recognized and successful in their fields of specialization and research.The educational activities in the department of Tourism and Hotel Management are carried out by one associate professor, one assistant professor, three research assistants and one lecturer. The courses are carried out in the classrooms with capacity of 45 people and the projection, however a practice kitchen with standard four-star hotel and practice rooms are available for making an application of such lessons Food and Beverage, Front Office and Housekeeping practices. The students in the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management can use internet laboratory by free.  In addition, they have chance to practice at four and five star hotels.

Job Opportunities of the Graduates

The aim of Department of Tourism and Hotel Management is to educate students as entrepeneurs and management candidates regarding to  strategic and managerial decision-making, especially in the tourism sector to meet the needs of the business world. For this purpose, the students are equipped with relevant knowledge and skills about  one of two foreign languages​​, including English, information technology, tourism industry and tourism businesses, with contemporary management.

Length of Program

The Department of Tourism and Hotel  Management  is a five year program including compulsory prep class.
